Someone once said… “Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live.”

Seasons change and so does her world

img_2235It never fails, every year, as the spring thaw begins, a transformation takes place in her wardrobe and decor. She gets that itch that can’t be stopped which forces her to make changes  in subtle ways that don’t affect her bank account too dearly.  Her need for color and rejuvenation are satisfied with a scarf here and a pillow there. img_2530

Her decorating style could be summed up in one word…eclectic with a french country flair but her personal style is quite another story.

Her wardrobe is simple but sometimes a bit funky. She loves the ease and flair of the sexy boho style clothing and accessories. Her style is at times too much for the conservative town in which she lives and this causes a bit of a stare.

She loves to collect things and then put them on display. Her tastes are eclectic but play well with each other. A Moroccan vase here a antique French cabinet there.

You never know what you may find at any turn. A sparkle here or

a little floral there.

Fun and flair are never far away. img_2511

peruvian-hat This girl doesn’t mind the numerous stares or occasional snicker. Dare to be different- it may change your life.

This commotion is worth all the trouble to just be herself. She will never worry what the neighbors might think. This girl throws caution to the wind and stays free with her style, which brings a breath of fresh air into her world.

Life is too short to ever conform; so open the windows and hang out in style; this is what life and fun are all about. Don’t worry about becoming the topic of conversation. You may just start a trend, that let’s you be you and me be me. It could be contagious; one can never be too sure about these things.

legs1So take a small step toward changing your world, just a little. “It won’t hurt too much”, is her promise. Display a few visible reminders around your space.

She who refuses to be molded by her conservative world, collects smooth rocks from the shoreline and paints little thoughts and messages to be read each day as she passes by. It’s simple but effective in changing her mindset.

Don’t be afraid to let the real you peek out, just one leg at a time. This girl will be here to cheer you on every day.  Spring time has spoken and rebirth is all around.  Now it’s your turn to shed your old skin and emerge all shiny and new. Come-on she knows you’re in there.

  2. Happy Spring to you too. I love Boho style, as well. Like you said we have to dress for ourselves. Who knows some of those conservatives in your town may wish they had your flair!

  3. this is a great way to be! some people find it hard to do this, and for those people, i feel nothing but pity! life is meant to be fun and enjoyed, & as long as you can do that without hurting anyone, well, enjoy life! it’s a gift meant to be enjoyed!

  4. Sounds like your telling the ladies out there to live out loud. I was dragged to see that movie by a girl I knew and I thought of it when reading this.

your right life is meant to be enjoyed and you have to be yourself to do it.

  8. Hi Junie, I love your blog and especially this sweet boho post! I just have to ask…who is the girl in the picture? It looks so much like Olivia Wilde but maybe that’s just the eyebrows.
