Someone once said… “Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live.”

Just for curiosity’s sake

She knew this moment was too good to pass up. A time to wonder and imply just a little. Two chairs, two woman and a beautiful day at the beach or maybe it went a little like this: two woman, two chairs, a little gossip, a lot of laughter. an ice cold lemonade, and sand between her toes- priceless.

As she looked through her lens she wondered what these two woman had in common were they sisters, best friends or just mere acquaintances having a chat, none of that seemed to matter during the perfect day at the beach. They were enjoying this moment with sandy toes, zesty sips and a tiny break through of laughter.

A day dream, ice in a cup, the sunlight in her hair, she listens, then hears a noise beyond the sand, two friends engaging  in a chat…

She laughs to herself,  then goes about her day.

But the  sunlight in her window makes the day dream replay, she laughs to herself.

Her thoughts are caught by a thread, a moment, a glance, a whisper of curiosity that plays in her head.

Do you ever observe a moment in someone else’s life and wonder what is happening or what it means to that person? I do- quite often. I like to play this game: what”s his/her occupation, where do they live, or what are they saying, feeling or thinking. It’s fun and a great way to spend a sunny day at the beach.

Here it is almost June and I’m still day dreaming about the beach. Why, you ask…. perhaps it’s because as I write to you on the 18th of May, I’m looking down at my little dog sitting on the heat register and then out my window at the earth now blanketed in a heavy layer of frost. Brrrrrr!

When you  live in Michigan you never know what Mother Nature will bring; sunny and 60 one day and frosty and 30 the next. I never pack away my winter clothes for the season.  Have a great Monday!!!!

Hmmm, A little Gossip perhaps

img_2248-crop

I wonder what they’re talking about in that cozy little bakery. A little gossip perhaps? Probably more like “why the heck is that crazy lady hanging out the window of a moving car while taking our picture?” Do you ever see something that looks so cool or quaint that you just can’t pass up the opportunity to capture it, even if it means putting yourself and on-coming traffic in danger? Yeah, I really should quit that, but sometimes I just can’t help myself.

I loved the name of this place “The Garden Bakery” and the look of the bake goods all lit up behind the customers who are chatting away, was kind of charming. It was so quaint in a retro chic kind of way. Just setting in the middle of nowhere. Okay it wasn’t too far from a lake but still miles away from town. I’m a sucker for anything dreamy, charming or chic. I guess it’s the hopeless romantic side of me that can’t resist.

The image didn’t turn out exactly how I wanted but the expression on the chick to the left is worth the shot. I had to wonder about the topic of conversation or taste of the delightful pastries and freshly poured coffee. Yum! It was a nasty day outside and the cozy atmosphere looked so inviting. I should have stopped for a bite and maybe an ear-full of the local gossip, next time for sure.

I just had to share this drive-by with you, just a quicky to warm up this snowy day.

My Little Secret is Locked Away

Please welcome Myra to the sofa.

I have been keeping the fact that I’m married a secret;  my reason is complicated. Six years ago my husband was sent to prison. I moved to a new town and started a new job to avoid embarrassment. In the beginning I didn’t talk about my status because it was too painful. Every one assumed that I wasn’t married and I just left it that way. Now I tell people I’m single. I’ll never leave my husband but I pray to God every day that he doesn’t get released. I’ve met someone and it’s getting really serious. I need to find a way to confess to him -Well, maybe I just did.

Junie: Your husband’s arrest must have been really hard on you. Your past is your business and your friends don’t need to know unless you want them to.  A serious relationship is a different story. Good luck with your confession, I hope he understands.
